Our story begins with Zack, the driving force behind Legion Projects. Seeking new challenges, Zack embarked on a journey to New Zealand, where he ignited his Project Management career. His experience in the Land of the Long White Cloud introduced him to the highest standards of health and safety regulations and cutting-edge construction processes.
In New Zealand, Zack worked with some of the country’s most renowned corporate organizations in the retail sector. These experiences exposed him to the intricacies of project management, where precision and excellence were not just expected but demanded.
Zack’s abilities shone as he managed multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating his exceptional multitasking skills. Not only did he excel as a Project Manager, but he also took on the role of a retail fitout contractor, showcasing his versatility and hands-on expertise.

We are Legion Projects Meet Luan
Luan Van Zyl, with his 12 years of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic, specializes in heavy earth-moving gear. His skills were honed long before he set foot in New Zealand in 2019. Once in NZ, further solidifying his expertise in building cranes, operating machinery, and fabricating work. Luan’s passion for his craft is evident through his adventurous spirit, always ready to embrace new challenges.
Besides his mechanical prowess, Luan holds an impressive set of credentials. He has his WTR endorsements, allowing him to operate heavy machinery on roads, and is certified for both forklift and EWP operations. Furthermore, he possesses certifications in working at heights, crane operations, rigger, and dogging. Luan’s wealth of experience, coupled with his certifications, make him a sought-after professional in the construction and mechanical world.
